This is a fun way to add to your family celebration for the Fourth of July. This cute frame is easy to make and adds that something special to your Fourth of July decorations that you can use year after year. I love adding my own special touch to every holiday or special event, and with the cricut it makes it so easy to make everything extra special.
Items needed: Cricut heavy chipboard 2mm, vinyl in white, red, blue, cricut sticker paper, cricut chalkboard vinyl, cricut maker, knife blade, fine point blade, green mat, purple mat, adhesive, transfer tape, weeding tool, hinge hardware, and masking tape. This project can only be made on a desktop computer due to using the knife blade, it is currently unavailable for the mobile devices, due to the time it takes to cut these projects.
Open project and click Make it, then go to the chipboard mats and change the size to 11×11 to ensure your project will cut in the space allowed on the chipboard. Print the sticker paper and place on green mat and cut. Then prep mat for chipboard by placing chipboard in left hand corner, and tape around the four sides no more than 1/4 inch onto the chipboard. Cut all chipboard pieces repeating mat prep steps and set aside. Using the green mat cut all vinyl pieces, then weed excess vinyl.
Glue two bottom pieces together, then glue next layer with dog shape to the top, place something heavy on top until dry, or for hot glue scrape off excess glue around edges. When dry add hardware to stand piece and adhere to back piece of frame. Place dog sticker onto dog chipboard cutout and press to adhere. Add white vinyl or white paint to top of chipboard frame. When dry, add blue stars around with transfer tape, and burnish to adhere to the frame. Place chalkboard vinyl in the center cut out piece, and burnish in place, then add red Fourth of July phrase with blue of to the center of the chalkboard vinyl. Glue dog cut out to front of frame, and let dry this completes this adorable frame for your Fourth of July celebration.
