Chase away those Winter Blues, with this Spring Floral Printed Cricut Iron on Felt Banner!

I love these printed iron on sheets from Cricut, there are quite a few to choose from, and I hope that more will be available in the future.  They’re such an easy way to add a printed design to your projects, and you can put these on so many different surfaces. I found this banner at Target awhile ago and it was perfect for this Spring project.

Item’s needed for this project:

  • Felt Banner
  • Cricut Explore series machine/ Cricut Maker
  • Green Mat
  • Weeding tool
  • Strong Bond Cricut Patterned Iron-on Anna Griffin Charlotte Sampler
  • Cricut Easypress 2 ( I used the 6×7 size)
  • Cricut Easypress Mat
  • Project link

Cut Iron-on

Follow the prompts to open the project, then place patterned Iron-on, face down on the mat, rough non printed side should be facing up. This Iron-on cuts beautifully and is easy to weed. When project is open select mirror image and select Printed Iron-on for the material to cut. This menu will automatically pop up when using the Cricut Maker, any other Cricut Explore model turn dial to custom and then it will allow you to select Printed Iron-on. I always select more for pressure setting, just to insure proper cutting.

Weeding Iron-on

Once cut remove Iron on from mat and weed excess material with your weeding tool. This Iron-on is an easy peel type and the excess is very easy to remove. Once all excess is removed, cut apart each letter to press onto the felt banner.

Pressing Iron-on

I used the Cricut Easypress 2 sized 6×7, I found that this was the perfect size for this project. Cricut has a great Interactive quick reference Guide for temperature, and time settings. I included the link for this handy interactive tool to get the best results possible when using Iron-on products.

To press onto felt, preheat the press to the correct settings, when it reaches the correct temperature, it beeps to signal that it is ready to go. Before pressing, preheat the felt for a few seconds then press the letter onto the felt, then flip over and press again for 15 seconds. This product is a cold peel, so press each letter, then when all are pressed remove the carrier sheet. I love how easy this is to apply and the carrier sheet will remove with very little resistance when properly adhered.

Completed banner

This banner is so easy to make, but has a beautiful pop of spring color to chase away the Winter Blues. This banner came complete with the string so it’s ready to hang.
