Such an easy way to dress up your holiday table
Napkin ring toppers are a beautiful, quick and easy way to dress up your table for your Thanksgiving meal. It’s so quick to complete, you could even do this as a last minute decoration. A Cricut machine makes it so simple to add a touch of elegance, with adding each guest’s name to the place setting.
Items needed:
- A sheet of Cricut Plum felt from the Summer Sky Sampler
- Everyday gold iron on Cricut
- Cricut Easypress 2
- One Cricut Easypress mat
- Napkin ring
- Project link in Design Space
To begin this project
In this post use the included project link to open in design space. Then edit to replace name using Emiline font. Here is a great tip! Type the names you will need to move the letters to connect and weld to cut in one piece.
Iron on is shiny on one side (this is the carrier sheet) and a matte look and feel to the other side. Beautiful gold iron on is adhered to the mat with shiny side facing down, press and smooth to remove air bubbles. Using a weeding tool to remove excess iron on will be removed leaving your name and clear carrier sheet used to press. Selecting mirror for names to cut backwards, names will be flipped over to be pressed. I cut, weed excess iron on from names, and set aside.
Cutting Felt
With the felt on mat, change material to Cricut felt and cut leaves. Remove leaves from mat and place a name on top of each leaf to press. Put leaves with names on Easypress mat and set Easypress to 280 for 30 seconds. Good rule to remember for the Easypress! Always preheat felt for 5 seconds before pressing name. Preheating felt to insure, no moisture is in it to affect adhesion. Next, place name on felt leaf and press for 30 seconds, then wait a few seconds and remove clear carrier sheet. Finally, repeat this process until all leaves have names.
I secured the leaves to napkin ring, with hot glued for a permanent decoration or double stick tape for a temporary decoration. I love how easy it is to make something extra special with the Cricut machine. Now, you have a beautiful and elegant touch to your table. This adds that pop of color and a personal touch that your guests will love.
