A fun character matching game

This is the third activity for the unplugged summer fun project series.  Create hours of fun with a picture matching game that kids will love.  It’s portable to be taken on the go for vacations, family game night or just to fill those long summer days. This content is from Cricut Design Space cartridge Marvel Avengers Kawaii.

Items needed: cricut heavy chipboard 2mm (chipboard needs 24 hours to acclimate with something heavy on top to prevent warping), cricut knife blade, cricut maker, tape, adhesive, sticker paper, solid color paper, and tape.

Link to project in cricut design space:

First prepare all materials, trim backing paper to 11×11 inches and adhere it to chipboard, (if using spray mount wait at least overnight for adhesive to properly adhere to chipboard). Open project in design space and click make it, and set number of projects to 2 (making sure to change mat size to 11×11 for the chipboard pieces).  Load sticker paper into printer and print all the pages by selecting each one and print, then click back onto the first page to ensure all pages will be cut in order.  While these are printing, place chipboard on the strong grip purple mat and secure with tape on all four sides. Place printed sticker paper on standard grip green mat, lining it up in the left hand corner and load into machine to cut. When that one is finished cutting remove from mat and continue cutting all printed sticker sheets.  Then load strong grip purple mat and cut the chipboard, when finished repeat process until all chipboard is cut. Remove all pieces and turn over and line up printed stickers on the unfinished side of the chipboard pieces.  All pieces of the game should have two sides a plain paper side and a sticker image, this completes the matching game and it is ready for summer fun or even a family game night.
